Here’s Pierre, a Platypus, and the first animal in the One Animal Every Weekend series.
Here are some interesting links concerning the Platypus:
The platypus was requested by Pedro.
This is part of the One Animal Every Weekend Series. You can request your own animal in the comments below, and I’ll work on it next weekend!

5 years ago, I drew a series of 10 animals every 2 days, upon request.
You can look at the final result on my deviantart page, here.
I also produced 3 panels illustrating “scales”
I’ve recently awaken my wacom tablet out of it’s long hibernation period and have started to drawing once more.
So, I’ve decided to start a new series - One Animal Every Weekend - where I’ll be drawing whatever animal you see fit, every weekend, for your viewing pleasure!
Place a comment below to suggest an animal, the series will start as soon as someone picks the first animal.
If you have an idea for a new “scale” let me know and I’ll draw it up.

One of the things I find most important about interface design, at an early stage, is to present an extremely polished look, as realistic as possible.
Labeled colored rectangles are fine for the first iterations or if you’re discussing layouts amongst developers, but a fully finished GUI, with realistic controls and color schemes will - even if it’s only a mockup - let your ideas come across much easily to your clients and/or GUI reviewers.
When it comes to designing mockups for iPhone application, given the unique nature of the user controls and GUI elements, producing realistic results without resorting to Apple’s Interface Builder was nearly impossible… until now,
The guys over at Teehan+lax have put together a nice PSD file with the GUI elements needed to produce quality mockups for iphone applications, and they’re making it available to the community.
Here’s the link to the original post, on their blog - you’ll find a download link there:

Hi there!
So, I finally decided to make something out of this.
After juggling the various options: django, rails, cake… I went with simplicity - read: wordpress - over a more DIY approach.
Over the coming weeks I expect to share some of my insights on Technology, Interfaces and Usability, and whatever else I deem worthy.
This default interface doesn’t really work, does it? I’ll have to do something about that as well!
Until then, have a look at some of the sites on my blog roll.
